Our days have been full lately....of snow, breaking trees, shoveling, sledding, and being trapped inside because of cold weather.
But we've had some fun too.
Then, today was Macy's 1st haircut. Her hair was hanging in her eyes, and she had a little tail in the back that was longer than the rest, so I figured it was time. (tear, sniff). She did great. She was a little reluctant at first, but in the end did really great.
Before
After. She really wasn't in to a picture afterwards, so you'll just have to envision how cute it looks. My little girl is growing up.
Only one more week until her 2nd birthday. Keep posted for pictures of her Lady bug party :)

Changing Seasons
Summer is over and fall is here. I apologize for the lapse in blog entries......you'd think I was busy with a 2 year old or something :)
Macy is about to turn 2 years old. I can't believe my little girl is growing up so quickly. She is as fun as ever and is starting to show mama that she needs some discipline.
We continue to go to the library for story time. She is getting brave, and will actually leave my lap to dance around, or go up to the front to participate in some of the activities. She is still a little worried, and turns around to check to see if I'm still there, but she is doing well. She is also so kind to the other kids. When a little person comes up and grab a toy or ball out of her hand, she sweetly just gives it up, and looks in wonder as he/she walks away.
We just went to a pumpkin patch. Macy rode in the wagon, and even got out to pick up some pumpkins. We got one for her about the size of a baseball and she has been carrying it around with her everywhere.
She talks and sings and has been playing very well by herself. She LOVES to read and takes every opportunity to read a story.
Here are some updates:
Our trip to the pumpkin patch
Helping carve pumpkins
A few of our masterpieces (the one on the right is Elmo....if you couldn't tell :)
Little sweetness
Macy loves to pick the "pe too nia's " off my flowers
Growing up so fast
Getting ready for church one morning. Macy LOVES having curlers in her hair.

Camping
We just returned from a weekend of camping. This was Macy's first camping trip. She did so great. (Although we are dealing with car sickness with her, so we had to make a few pit stops along the way). She slept well in the tent with us. She was bundled up and packed in with many blankets. She only slept til about 6:15am because that is when the sun came up....who can blame her. Her feet and hands were so cold in the morning, so we warmed her up in our sleeping bags. She loved throwing rocks in the streams and talked about the moose we saw.
She had a good time. Here are a few pics.
Walking with grandma
Throwing rocks
Snuggling with Papa by the fire.
Cleaning the camp site
Diesel chased all the chipmunks and birds there were....he is very tired.

Catching Up
Wow, the summer has gone so fast, and has gotten away from me. I mean to blog more often, but obviously that hasn't happened yet.
We've been having a great summer. It has been very hot here in Colorado. Record weeks in the 90's+. So, we've gotten a tan, gone to the pool, and have our share of mosquito bites, but we're having fun.
There are many pictures to post and a few videos. All the way back from before the 4th of July.
Macy continues growing and learning. She amazes me all the time. She is currently learning to fold her hands and close (squint) her eyes while we pray. It's pretty cute.
We sing a lot and read books every day. She walks up and says which book she wants to read. Sometimes, you have to decipher which one she means. It took me and hour the other day to understand that "Read the quarter boy one" Meant, she wanted the Corduroy book.
She signs while she's playing and can actually carry a tune.
We have started to go to the library ("lie barry") and bring home some new books to read. Also, twice a week at the library, they have Humpty Dumpty Story Time. We try to go once a week. We sit on our own little carpet and sing songs and read books with a bunch of other kids. Last week we had to stay away from a boy named Carson, who sat next to us and tried to bite every kid that was near him.
She isn't around a lot of kids in a group like that, so she is nervous and sits very close, but she enjoys it.
Today, went to a kids day that had police cars, fire trucks, horse drawn wagon rides, etc. Papa came with us, and we had a good time.
Here are our newest updates. I'll try to post a couple videos (if they work).
Love and kisses to all. With Ellie in the fire truckPapa and Macy
Diesel spends time up in Macy's playset/swingset. He is the guard dog. Ruff!
Macy playing in the water
Macy playing her little piano. She made a piano bench out of the stool for papa's foot. Her idea, she dragged it over and climbed right up.
My sweet beautiful child.
4th of July. (that is a plastic shark in her mouth, in case you were wondering).
Sweet little feet.
Silly girl.

It's been toooooo long
So sorry for the gap in posts. It has been getting busy around here since the summer started. Not busy with tasks, per say, just busy livin'.
Kevin's parents and two nephews came to visit last week, and boy, it was busy, and tiresome, but everybody had a good time....Macy included. We went to the zoo, and the pool, and Estes Park. Macy was exhausted and slept well, but we had fun. Otherwise, it has been time spent at the pool, or the lake. Macy loves spending time outside and absolutely loves the water. She was leery at first, but once she got in the water, she is fearless, as usual. Which only means, mama has to have more eyes in the back of her head. *Sigh*
Macy is growing each day it seems. Her hair is getting thicker, her laughs are getting louder, and her vocabulary grows by the week. She routinely says 7-8 word sentences, and repeats most everything you say (all the more reasons to "watch what we say"). Here are a few new pictures. Included are her 18 month pictures. I know....you're thinking, "but Macy is almost 20 months". Yeah, that would be her mamas fault. So, I took them myself this time, and it was exhausting. Kevin and I chased her around the park until she just wouldn't go anymore. There aren't a ton of good ones, but at least a snapshot of her sweet smile. Enjoy.
