Catching Up

Wow...what a crazy few weeks it's been. Thanks for being patient, as I haven't posted anything new in quite a while. We had a great Christmas. We spent the week before Christmas (up to the 24th) with Kevin's family in Michigan, and then were able to get home to Colorado to spend Christmas day with my family.
It's been a whirlwind. Macy has finally gotten over a cold that has lasted about 3 weeks, and is still having trouble with the time change (from the trip to MI), but we're getting their.
She got into opening presents, which was fun. Here are a few pictures of the last few weeks.

Updates

Sorry for not updating photos and stuff lately. It's amazing how times goes so quickly. I can't believe it's already December.
The house is decorated and the tree is up. Macy loves the lights and the bottom half of the tree is decorated with ornaments she can touch.
She can say a few words now. It's so cute. She can say, hot, tree (which sounds more like tea), and recently she can say Diesel (our dog)....sometimes it is DiDi, but every once in a while she'll actually say Diesel.
And when we pull up in front of grandma and papa's house she clear as a bell says "papa". And last night she started saying "bye bye". I love it. She is so adorable.

She has 8 teeth, and 3 more on the way. She's been acting like they really bother her. I feel so bad for her.

Happy 1st Birthday Macy

Today is Macy's first birthday. I wish it was warm and sunny outside , but having a birthday in November doesn't really accommodate that. We'll still have a great day though...me and my girl.

We had a great party for Macy with family and friends. Kevin's parents even got to come out from Michigan to celebrate with us. It was tiring, but oh so much fun.
Macy's 1st birthday is tomorrow. I still can't believe that she is 1 year old. The time has been so sweet, and has gone by so quickly. Let the celebrating continue.

Macy has discovered the piano, and loves to go up and plink away. Then daddy put her up on the bench and she loved it. Played like she has been playing her whole life. It was really cute.


She even has good form :)

We went to a pumpkin patch last week with Macy. We drove her around in a little wagon and picked pumpkins and had a great time.

11 months

My sweet baby is 11 months old today. I can't believe it. Where did the time go? Her first birthday will be here before I know it. While I am so excited to see her growing and doing new things, I just want her to slow down. Don't grow up so fast my girl.

Fall

Macy is usually so happy and sweet. Today, was a terrible nap day for her and that made for a pretty fussy afternoon. Of course, I should have known better than to try and take some pictures of her. But she was wearing a really cute outfit (bought by grandma) and the light was so good, I thought I'd try.
BIG MISTAKE
She wanted nothing to do with it, and she hated sitting in the leaves. The pictures are still cute...although she'll probably hate me for them when she's older. I guess I will have to try again later.

Macy is growing up. She has moved from the kitchen sink
for baths, to the big girl tub. She seems to really like it.



Here she is still in the sink bath. She figured out how to blow bubbles
from a straw into the bath water. But then, she tried something new....



So, here is Diesel dog. He has been banished from the couch, since
we moved a nicer couch up stairs to the living room. So, at night we have to put
something on the couch so he can get up there.
I guess now we have to block the chair too.

Lately....

Here are a few recent pictures of Macy. She loves to go up and down the stairs, and her new favorite thing is to open the cabinets and pull everything out. I have made a few cabinets of stuff she can have (her toys and tupperware), but of course, she still wants the "other" cabinets. Go figure. She seems to love walking. Now she chooses it over crawling. When she is just waking up or just about to go to bed at night, she seems to fall down alot and is a little out of it. It is kind of cute.
She has started giving "kisses", which is one of my new favorite things. If you say, "Macy, give me a kiss" and make a kiss noise, she leans in and with open mouth, and tongue out, gives you a kiss.
This morning, she walked right over to me, lifted her arms for me to pick her up, and leaned right in and opened her mouth for a kiss. Actually 3 kisses right in a row, and I didn't even have to prompt her. I LOVE IT! She is so precious.
