Family Pictures

It's that time again....family picture time. Why is it so hard to get everyone motivated to take family pictures? Seriously, it's 1-2 hours at the most. Is it that hard?
Anyway, we took our family pictures yesterday. My aunt and cousin took the ones of our family (all of us together) and of Kevin, Macy and me. Then I took the rest. Of course it's going to be difficult when you have 7 little ones you are trying to corral. Of course, they all weren't in good moods at the same time. Some didn't want to smile, some were the picture (literally) of perfection. I definitely have some bloopers, but here are a couple that are my favorites.

Macy is 9 months old tomorrow. The time has gone by quickly and slowly both at the same time. It's so amazing to watch her grow. She is crawling all over the house, including up the stairs, very easily. Now I am teaching her to crawl down them so she doesn't roll down.
I love seeing the next stage of her growth. I don't want to "wish" her to grow up, because I know I can't get this time back, but I'm excited to see what she'll do next. Of course sleeping is good and bad depending on the week. She's on a new kick of waking up in the middle of the night and being awake for 1-2 hours. Which is oh so fun. And she is also having a hard time napping in the afternoon. Mostly has been crying herself to sleep (which she is doing right now!!)
She is a wonderful, happy girl and I am so thankful for everything that comes our way.

Sand Dunes & 4 Wheeling

We just got home from a week vacation in the Sand Dunes...not the famous sand dunes, but there are some in Rock Springs, WY. This is the second year we have gone and we camp and ride our 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. This was our first year with Macy and of course camping with an 8 month old has it's challenges, but all in all, we had a great time.
The temperatures ranged from 90's during the day and dropped down to probably the 40's-50's at night. Pretty much every night, Macy woke up FREEZING, so I would bundle her in sweat pants and a sweat shirt and bring her to bed with me. She also had a temperature of 102 degrees pretty much all week. So that didn't help. Now that we're home, things are finally getting back to normal. Fever is gone, and her sleeping is getting figured out too. So that makes everybody happy.

Go Rocks!!!

We took Macy to her first Colorado Rockies game today. She was amazing (even with lack of appropriate naps). We had a great time and the Rockies even won!!

4th of July

We had our families 4th of July celebration on Monday. We spent the day at Sam and Debbie's - down at the lake and then up at their house for a BBQ. We had a great time.

Summer Fun!!!

It has been so nice to have warm weather. We've spent some time at the park, and also in the pool with Macy (which she loves). How I love summer.

We're Home

Well, we made it on our first vacation and first flight for Macy and back home. She was incredible. I was definitely worried about how she would do on the plane, but she did amazing. Our flight was even delayed and delayed again. With the time change to Michigan, we didn't get her to bed until
3 am!! But the next day she started taking great naps and got herself on the right time and was great. We had a great time with Kevin's family. His parents hadn't seen Macy since she was about 1 week old, and Cara, Jamey and their kids and Bapa and Da (Kevin's grandparents) had never seen her. So that was a great thing.
